madeira

madeira (1990) is a German psychologist and artist of Syrian heritage based in Hamburg, Germany. Her professional background and own mental health experience nurture her artistic practice. Working in acrylic and pastel, she explores themes such as mental health, grief, femininity, and identity. She describes her art as emotional storytelling, drawing on symbols from nature, surreal landscapes, and intense feelings. From 2022 to 2025, she was a member of the art collective die maler. She participated in several group exhibitions across Hamburg, Münster, and Rome, as well as being featured on Suboart Magazine and in the Doncaster Art Fair in England.
